What it is

A virtual community center — built specifically for our girls.

The CommYOUnity is a virtual community center and personal development platform designed specifically for Black teen girls and their female caregivers. Research-informed. Culturally responsive. Built with us, for us.

  • Places the girl at the center of her own journey
  • Gives caregivers their own dedicated space to grow
  • Personalized mentorship that meets her where she is
  • Community that doesn't require code-switching

Why it matters

The gap is real. The girls in it are still ours.

Black teen girls navigate identity, mental health, safety, and growing up in a digital world that wasn't designed with them in mind. Their caregivers often do this work alone, on too little sleep, with too few tools made for their daughters.

The CommYOUnity isn't a service we drop on top of that reality. It's a place built inside of it — listening first, designed alongside the women and girls who will actually use it.

Statistics and citations from peer-reviewed and federal sources are referenced throughout the platform — full bibliography released at launch.

What makes this different

Five elements unlike anything you've ever seen:

  1. 01

    Culturally built — not adapted.

Every design decision was made for Black teen girls from the ground up. Not retrofitted. Not whitewashed and then translated.

  2. 02

    Two tracks, one platform.

She has her own world. Mom/Grandma/Auntie have their own. The two are connected on purpose—a different kind of parental control.

  3. 03

    Safety as architecture.

24/7 monitoring, mandatory-reporter compliant, and caregiver-transparent from day one. Safety isn't a setting here. It's the floor.

  4. 04

    AI that earns trust.

We meet Black women's healthy skepticism of AI with demonstrated integrity — every interaction explainable, every boundary visible.

  5. 05

    Community before build.

This platform listens before it decides. Girls and caregivers shape what comes next — they aren't just users, they're co-authors.
